Hello and thank you for contacting us today with your question.

Many of the databases we have are designed for specific subject areas so depending upon your topic you may benefit greatly by using some of those. Because you are looking for biographical information, I would begin by looking at the database, Biography in Context. You may find the link for this database by going to the library homepage, http://www.qcc.mass.edu/library and clicking on the link toward the top for Article Databases by Title A-Z. http://qcc.mass.libguides.com/resourcesAtoZ

Once on the Databases A-Z page, you will see the link for Biography in Context. Once you've brought up the database you may enter the person's name, Adam Smith. This is not a very unique name and you may see many options listed but it will list what they are known for next to their names. You're obviously looking for the economist.

Two additional databases you could pull helpful information from are, Credo Reference and Gale Virtual Reference Library.

Please let us know if you have any further questions for this topic or if we can help you with anything else in the future.
